Welcome to Academic Solutions for Life Sciences and Synthetic Chemistry.

Science is advancing very rapidly. In order for today's students to keep pace and remain competitive, they need exposure to the latest techniques and instrumentation. As an educator, CEM can help you bring real world experience into the teaching laboratory by making state-of-the-art tools available for your lab that are like the systems your students will encounter in the workplace.

Microwave synthesis systems offer numerous benefits that can improve your research and increase your effectiveness in teaching chemistry.

Perform reactions faster
Reactions that previously took hours or even days to complete can now be done in minutes, including difficult reactions that are normally too time intensive to conduct in class. Students have more time for purification, product identification, and more time to learn additional chemistries. Reactions can also be run on smaller scales and in parallel, providing an economical and convenient way for each student to perform each step in the process.

Greater yields/fewer side reactions
Microwave synthesis transfers energy to the reaction at the speed of light, producing greater yields. With the automated quenching capability, reactions are kept at elevated temperatures for much shorter periods of time, resulting in less formation of side products.

Green chemistry
Microwave reactions use less solvent than conventional thermal reactions, and in some chemistries, less hazardous solvents or even water may be used and still produce great results.

Safe
Reaction control and reproducibility are critical to successful learning. The monitoring and control capabilities of CEM instruments ensure safety and excellent reproducibility.
