Academic Funding Initiatives
Commitment to
Learning Because we are
a company driven by scientists, we are very aware
of the challenges involved in pursuing excellence
in science. That's why we are so supportive of
educational initiatives and academic research.
CEM currently sponsors a grant program, an award
for college and university students, and a scholarship
for high school seniors.
Microwave-Enhanced
Chemistry Grant ProgramAcademics
face special challenges when it comes to funding
for their laboratories, so we created a fund
that will provide resources to the academic community
for the investigation of microwave chemistry.
CEM's Microwave-Enhanced Chemistry Grant Program
is designed to ease the burden of acquiring the
latest microwave technology.
MJ
Collins AwardCEM is pleased to offer a new award for students
to encourage research in the field of microwave
chemistry. The M.J. Collins Award will be given
annually to a student for outstanding work in
microwave chemistry.
Stacey Palasek Memorial ScholarshipIn
memory of our co-worker, Stacey Palasek, CEM
created a scholarship for female high school
seniors from the counties local to the Company’s
headquarters in Matthews, NC. The award is given
annually to a deserving student planning to major
in the sciences.
