| M.J. Collins Award
Nominations are currently being
accepted for the 2008
M.J. Collins Award for Outstanding Young Innovator
in Microwave Chemistry, which will
be presented at the Fall National Meeting of
the American Chemical society. The award recognizes
outstanding research by a student in the field
of microwave chemistry and is open to undergraduate,
graduate, doctoral, and post-doctoral students
attending academic institutions in the United
States. The winning student will receive a
cash prize of $5,000 with matching funds presented
to the student's sponsor, as well.
Students must have a sponsor to be nominated. The sponsor may be a professor, an academic advisor or, in the case of students involved in internship programs within industry, their supervisor. A completed award application must accompany the nomination letter.
