The award-winning SMART Trac
Fat and Moisture Analyzer provides a direct measurement
of total fat, including both free and chemically
bound fat in solids, liquids and slurries. The
system uses a combination of microwave and NMR
technology to provide test precision to 0.01%
without the use of hazardous solvents. Unlike
indirect methods such as NIR, SMART Trac measures
fat throughout the sample, yielding an accurate
analysis that is not dependent on sample uniformity.

The SMART Trac System
uses a combination of proprietary microwave
drying technology and NMR for a direct,

CEM's proprietary Trac
film and tubes are proton-free components
specifically designed to be used with the
SMART Trac and will not interfere with the
NMR analysis. They are manufactured to the
highest standards to ensure accurate results.

Pads
CEM sample pads consistently
provide the test accuracy and precision
demanded for Process and Quality Control.
We manufacture our sample pads in a controlled
environment to avoid excess moisture, which
can cause erratic and inconsistent numbers.
Our pads are tested to ensure they meet
strict requirements for absorbency, moisture
content and mechanical strength. They are
approved for use in AOAC methods and are
manufactured according to ISO-9002 standards.
