Recently, we investigated the MW activated click type reaction to prepare polymerizable CD-monomers as shown in Fig. 1.

Furthermore, we showed that in the field of amidation the use of MW shows some appreciable advantages compared to the common way of condensation. The main reason for this kind of effective reaction process is a result of the quasi ionic liquid character of the educts. This means that the absorbtion of MW's takes place very effectively.

Currently, we are investigating the influence of MW effects on reductions of various monomers and polymers.
