Concise Synthesis of Densely Substituted Azaheterocycles

A series of new methodologies will be discussed that enable the concise synthesis of a variety of azaheterocycles from readily available starting materials. A key aspect of these methodologies is the electrophilic activation of amides for nucleophilic trapping by a variety of sigma and pi-nucleophiles.
